Museum burglary suspect pleas to lesser charge
The 23 year old Gering man originally charged with burglary after he was found inside a building at the North Platte Valley Museum property in Gering in January has entered a plea to a lesser charge Thursday in Scotts Bluff County District Court.
Joshua Fowlkes will enter a guilty or no contest plea to a charge of attempted burglary in an agreement with prosecutors.
Gering Police arrested Fowlkes after responding to a burglar alarm and finding him hiding inside a Museum storage building.
Court documents says Police observed an open storage building door and footprints in the snow leading to the building, and found Fowlkes hiding inside.
Fowlkes will be sentenced May 9th at 2 p.m.
