New York man arrested in Cheyenne County marijuana bust
A 60 year old New York man is being held on $100,000 bond after being stopped in Cheyenne County with a large amount of marijuana and case. Cheyenne County Attorney Paul Schaub says Joseph Fioramonti was pulled over on I-80 Thursday afternoon for speeding and the trooper smelled marijuana.
A search of the Jeep was made and two large heat-sealed bags of pot and four jars of marijuana were found in a black suitcase.The amount of suspected marijuana is estimated at 700 grams. The court document also says $58,600 in cash was found in a locked safe bolted under the driver's seat.
Fioramonti faces charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, having more than a pound of a controlled substance and not having Nebraska tax stamps.
