Construction on new Hemingford livestock barn to begin after fair

A collaborative effort is underway in Box Butte County as the "Raise the Roof" committee continues it's effort to get a new livestock barn built at the Box Butte County Fairgrounds in Hemingford. The effort began in 2010, and is now two thirds of the way toward the $450,000 goal. Joni Jesperson told KNEB people have really been behind the effort.

Jesperson said construction on the new barn will actually begin right after the fair, and they are hoping to have it finished before the end of the year. The barn will also be used by the Hemingford High School to house school buses during the off season.
