Bluffs council wants meeting with TCD, WNHO Boards
The Scottsbluff city council says it wants a meeting with the Twin Cities Development and Western Nebraska Housing Opportunities Boards about separating the two agencies and possibly having a public official on the TCD board.
Even though TCD and WNHO have different boards and missions. their activities are many times tied together. They are also administered by the same staff, which does not sit well with council members Scott Shaver and Ray Gonzales.
Mayor Randy Meininger admits a meeting between the council and the two boards is overdue.

Council members believe it would be good for the three boards to discuss their visions and make sure they are all on the same page. Gonzales and Shaver would also like to have a council member on the TCD Board who has voting authority. Council members Dave Boeckner and Mike Deibert, who are non voting members of the board, say having private sector members on the board takes politics out of any decisions.
