Polar Plunge set for Saturday

The 2nd annual Panhandle Polar Plunge is almost here, as dozens of brave plungers will throw themselves into the icy waters of the North Platte River Saturday to help raise funds for Special Olympics Nebraska. Plungers have been collecting pledges from friends and family in preparation for Saturday's plunge, and Sheriff Mark Overman says a number of individuals and groups are expected.

Registration will start at 9:30 Saturday morning with the Plunge at 11 a.m. Special Olympics families will then host a hot lunch at the YMCA Camp. For full information, just click on the link at scottsbluffcounty.org.
