Colorado State Fair open in Pueblo through Sept. 2
PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) Colorado's State Fair is up and running with a new
emphasis on locally grown and produced products.
Officials unveiled a ``Colorado Proud'' store at the fair in Pueblo Friday. Visitors can shop there for food and agricultural products that are grown, raised or processed in Colorado.
Not everything at the fair is new. Friday night marks the return of an annual political tradition, the Pueblo Chamber of Commerce barbecue. Gov. John Hickenlooper will be there, along with many members of Congress and aspiring officeholders.
The fair runs through Sept. 2.
