Local museums are Blue Star Museums

GERING, NEB.-May 21, 2013-This summer, active duty military personnel
and their families will receive free admission at the Legacy of the
Plains Museums – Farm And Ranch Museum and North Platte Valley Museum
– through the Blue Star Museums Program.

Active U.S. military members who present their identification card at
FARM or NPVM will receive free admission for themselves and up to five
family members between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

LPM Executive Director Katie Bradshaw says," our museum leaders recognize the sacrifices made by our men and women in uniform and their families. Waiving admission for military families who would like to spend time together at our museums this summer seemed like a great way to say 'thank you."

Summer hours at FARM are Monday through Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and
Sunday 1 to 5 p.m. Summer hours at NPVM, which begin June 1, are
Tuesday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and weekends 1 to 4 p.m.
