Bluffs schools to conduct facility assessment
Scottsbluff Public Schools will be undergoing a facilities assessment, which will hopefully help develop a new long-range plan for the district and the community. The last district facility assessment was conducted in September of 1997.
Superintendent Rick Myles says after the group that helped build the Bluffs Middle School took an informal look at the high school, district officials thought it might be time for a new look.
Myles says a look at the school's plumbing and replacing the single pane glass along the hallway was part of the initial suggestions. dependin alternative funding for things like a new gym floor or additional gym space.
The assessment will look at Elementary Schools, the Middle School and High School. The board recommended issuing a Request For Qualifications to solicit interested qualified applicants to do the formal facilities assessment.
