Sorghum board to meet

LINCOLN – The Nebraska Grain Sorghum Board has scheduled a meeting for Thursday, March 20, 2014. The meeting will convene at 9:00 AM at the Ramada Inn, 301 Second Avenue, Kearney, NE.

In addition to regular business, the meeting will include review of applications to fill a vacancy on the board, consider funding requests, and hear updates on program activities in the areas of research, market development, producer/consumer education and federal policy affecting agriculture. The meeting is open to the public. A copy of the agenda is available by emailing or by calling the Nebraska Grain Sorghum Board at 402/471-4276.

The Nebraska Grain Sorghum Board administers the one-cent per hundredweight check-off, which is assessed on all grain sorghum sold in the state. The board's annual budget is allocated to the areas of research, market development, and education.
