America Selecting This Year’s National Thanksgiving Turkey
President Obama will pardon the 2012 National Thanksgiving Turkey today (Wednesday). For the first time ever - the American public selected the turkey through online voting. Using the White House Facebook page - Americans were able to choose between Cobbler and Gobbler. The two turkeys were born on the same day on a farm in Rockingham County, Virginia. While both birds will ultimately enjoy a happy life at George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens - only one can be the National Thanksgiving Turkey.
