BMS teacher selected for NASA training

The NASA Nebraska Space Grant Consortium has selected Jon Amundsen to attend a new Teacher Training Program called Out of This World.

Amundsen, who teaches Science at Bluffs Middle School, was selected as one of ten Nebraska teachers to travel to NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida for three days of educator training delivered by the NASA Education Department at Kennedy.

The selected participants will be the Charter group of Nebraska Education Space Ambassadors (NESA). The Ambassadors will be eligible for dedicated mini-grant funding and stipends to return to Nebraska and deliver the content at workshops, to other educators in their school, to after school time providers, and in other informal education settings.

Amundsen will attend the workshop at Kennedy Space Center from July 23-25, 2013.
