Cheryl "Cheri" Kay Nauenburg Pirnie

Cheryl 'Cheri' Kay Nauenburg Pirnie joined her brother, 2 sisters, father and grandparents in a family reunion with the Lord January 1, 2013.

A grave side service will be held Monday, December 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery with Mike Jones officiating. A reception will follow at the First Baptist Church at 3009 Avenue I in Scottsbluff.

Cheri was born April 2, 1949 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Betty L. Cook. In 1950 Edmund J. Nauenburg adopted her. To this union she was joined by three sisters and one brother.

In 1967 Cheryl graduated from Scottsbluff High School. During her school years she attended both Gering and Scottsbluff Schools.

Cheri married Paul Pirnie March 21, 1968 and moved to Gordon Nebraska, to this union two beautiful children, Crystal Lynn and Richard 'Rick' Paul were born.

While in Gordon Cheryl worked for the Gordon memorial Hospital, Montgomery Ward Catalog Store and then with her husband at Pirnie Oil Company. She became an avid bowler, enjoyed working with crafts and liked camping. The family returned to Scottsbluff so she could to help her father operate Carol Ann and Lorraine Apartments. After her father's death, she with the help of her sister Jean managed the Apartments until their sale. Currently Cheryl devoted her time to her mother, children and grandchildren.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Paul; daughter, Crystal (Jerry) Embry; son, Rick (Amanda) Pirnie; grandchildren, Colby and Seth Embry, Nevaeh Ann and Adilene Kay Pirnie ,Aunika Houck, Dylan Ullrich; mother, Betty Cook; sister, Ellen Jean Nauenburg; and great-grand niece, Reagan Marie Williams and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cheryl was preceded in death by sisters, Carol Ann Nauenburg and Glenda Rae Radomiski; brother, Robert Lee Nauenburg, father Ed Nauenburg and her grandparents.
