Scottsbluff man charged for second time with sexual assault of teenage girl

A 23 year old Scottsbluff man has been charged for the second time this year with the first degree sexual assault of a 15 year old girl. Enrique Guzman, who is awaiting sentencing on the first charge after entering a plea to attempted first degree sexual assault of a child May 17th, is in the Scotts Bluff County Jail on a $150,000 bond regarding the second charge.

Guzman is accused of having consensual sex with the girl Thursday after he spoke with her the night before. As was the case in the previous charge, Guzman picked the girl up from school, this time taking her to an area east of Scottsbluff where they had sexual relations. In the previous case the two would go to Guzman's house.

Guzman was not to have contact with the girl, but Scottsbluff Police became aware of the situation late Thursday afternoon after her mother contacted them when the girl admitted to having relations with Guzman earlier in the day. Previous documents said the two indicated they had started seeing each other in January.
