A perfect day for Golf!

(Presentation of Capstone check)

The 5th Annual Jason Vesper Memorial golf tournament was a huge success, with over 150 golfers participating at the Riverview Golf Course on one of the more moderate days of the summer.

The tournament was once again a huge success for the child advocacy center CapStone, raising $5,000 through golfer entry fees, donations, and sponsorships for the local chapter. $25,000 has been raised in total for Capstone over the five years.

The tournament is held by the Vesper family in the memory of Jason Vesper, whose murder January 2nd, 2008, remains unsolved. Vesper's body was found early on the morning of January 2nd, 2008 just a half block from his home in west Scottsbluff. He had been stabbed several times.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to call the Scottsbluff Police department.

The winners of Saturday's tournament were the four man team of Paul Selchow, Steve Redman, Mike O'Donnell, and Tim Francois with a score of fourteen under 56.

They win overnight stays and golf at the Westin Mission Hills Golf resort in Palm Springs, California where Jon Vesper, Jason's brother, is Director of Golf.
