Laramie Peak Fire destroys 30 homes
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) _ Wyoming's largest wildfire has destroyed 30 homes and dozens of outbuildings.
Albany County assessors say that they've completed their survey of the damage caused by the 150-square-mile Arapahoe fire near Laramie Peak northwest of Wheatland.
They looked at over 300 structures. Eight homes were damaged but not destroyed and that 54 barns and garages were destroyed.
Eleven commercial buildings were also lost, including buildings at camps in the area.
The lightning-caused fire is 80 percent contained. It likely won't be fully contained until snow falls and puts out a 2 to 3 mile stretch in very steep and rough terrain on the west side of Laramie Peak.

Jill Zimmerscheide with the assessment team in Platte County says their damage was minimal, two cabins and two outbuildings. The fire came within a mile of the Laramie Peak Boy Scout Camp, but no closer. The Camp is housing some firefighters, but scouts who would normally be at the camp are at a Colorado camp.
