Flood denies speculation he will renew run for Governor
Former State Senator Mike Flood is stamping out speculation that he will run for governor next year. Flood dropped out of the race in December after learning his wife had a fast-growing type of breast cancer, but his appearance at the recent Cattleman's Ball triggered speculation he was getting back in.
Over the weekend, one popular blog reported that Flood told "associates" that he "will run," but he responded with a Facebook post saying he and his wife had merely enjoyed a "great night" out at the ball...which raises money for cancer research.
Flood wrote that "nothing's changed up here" and that they were surprised by the bloggers. As for his wife, he said "She feels great and we're focused on her recovery."
