Great American Wheat Harvest Movie to show in Scottsbluff April 4th
The Great American Wheat Harvest movie has finished production and is now in the three month editing process. Producer-Director Conrad Weaver says the movie will premiere in Washington D.C. on National Ag Day March 21st and then begin a tour through the panhandle, with a screening scheduled April 4th at the Midwest theater in Scottsbluff.
Weaver says it is a "daunting" task to go through the hours of film, but he also indicated it will also bring back memories of telling the story of bring wheat products from the field to the table.
Weaver says production on the movie chronicled significant differences in yield, from crippled drought stricken crops in Texas and western Kansas to tremendous yields in eastern Kansas, where rain has been plentiful. Weaver says it even included a fire.
Weaver also thanked all the major sponsors of the movie, which included John Deere, U.S. Custom Harvesters , and the Nebraska Wheat Commission.
