Friday OTD activities
Following completion of the Don Childs 5k Run and the Kiddies Parade this morning, this is still a lot to do at Oregon Trail days today.
The Old Settlers luncheon will be held at noon at the Gering Civic Center. Keith Hampton and Wanda Mowry are the Old Settlers President and Vice President. The half century officers are Rick Myers and Connie Russel.
The OTD Art Show and Sale continues at the Gering Civic Center from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and the Panhandle Guild Regional Quilt Show is from noon to 5 p.m. Friday thru Sunday at the Gering Zion Church.
The very popular International Food Fair is from 5 to 9 p.m. on 10th Street and the Rod and Custom Car Show is also located on 10th Street in front of the Scotts Bluff County Courthouse.
The 2nd annual Festival of Hope concert featuring Fred Marquez will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. in Legion Park. The free Five Rocks Amphitheater concert featuring the Gering City Band is planned at 8 p.m. Square Dancing at 10th and O Street will also begin at 8 p.m.
