Laramie Peak fire: Hoping rain forecast is accurate

The Arapaho Fire burning near Laramie Peak northwest of Wheatland has now burned over 93,000 acres and is 32% contained.

The latest update from the federal incident management team fighting the blaze indicates 786 people are now fighting the fire. Progress was made on the north and south flanks of the fire Wednesday

Firefighters are hoping rain forecast over the next few days will help. An undetermined number of structures have burned.

Evacuation orders remain in place for Cottonwood Park, Friend Park, and Harris Park. Residents in the community of Esterbrook have not been told to leave
