Goal of tourism marketing retreat is new ideas
The Scotts Bluff County Tourism Committee is hoping a marketing retreat Wednesday noon will provide some new ideas on promoting the county and the region's attractions. In the past the retreat has involved just the tourism committee members, but this time the committee has invited "stakeholders" in the industry to attend.
Acting Committee Chair Steve Frederick believes that there are tourism opportunities in the area that are not being pursued at the present time. Frederick says it is possible that the Tourism Committee could organize "demonstration projects" for a day or two that would show whether someone's idea is viable as a new business.
The retreat begins at noon at the Farm and Ranch Museum.
