Gun rights supporters rally

Approximately 20 people attended a rally Saturday to coincide with a nationwide effort to express support for 2nd Amendment rights to stay intact.

Mike Johnson says the rally at the north end of the Monument Mall was to showcase how many people support the right to bear arms and their opposition to President Obama's effort to modify those rights.

Combat Veteran Josh Catlin says the rally was not a call to arms but a wake-up call to residents that they should not allow the administration to infringe on their constitutional rights. Catlin says they did not do any petitioning Saturday, but wanted to simply build a base of "like-minded" people in order to get their voice heard.
