Ground was broken Tuesday for a new Platte Valley Bank location in Gering. Chief Executive Officer Hod Kosman says they have wanted a bank in Gering for a long time, and are pleased to have been able to acquire the prime location they have waited a long time for at 1850 10th Street.

Kosman says this is a new investment in the City of Gering. He says they will build a full service facilty with a community room. Local contractors will do all of the construction work with Anderson and Shaw Construction as the principal contractor. Kosman says construction will begin immediately and the facility will open sometime this summer.
