Jerry Patrick Lee went to heaven on May 7, 2018 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. As per his wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place on May 18th at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Scottsbluff, Nebraska with military honors by the Nebraska National Guard Honor Guard. Jerry was born on March 17, 1933 in Gothenburg, Nebraska to Jerry J. and Marjorie Ellen (Weathers) Lee. His father was a coach, so he attended several grade schools while growing up and graduated from Grand Island, Nebraska High School. He was known as Pat since his father’s name was Jerry.

Pat attended Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska where he played football and ran track. While in college he was drafted into the army where he served 2 years. Upon his return he married the love of his life Beverly Ann Sinner.

After graduation from college they moved to Fort Morgan, Colorado to coach and teach math. After one year in Colorado they moved to Grand Island, Nebraska for a year. From there they moved to Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He coached and taught math at the junior college (now known as WNCC). He gave up coaching and teaching after he went into the administration. He did continue to referee football and basketball as well as starting track meets for several years.

He is survived by Beverly, his loving wife of 62 years; his daughters Pamela (Keith) Motyl of Arvada, Colorado and Christy (Kevin) O’Doherty of Elkhorn, Nebraska; his grandchildren Bret O’Doherty, Daniel (Jennifer) O’Doherty, Lee O’Doherty, and Geoffrey Motyl; his brother Michael (Glenny) Lee of Littleton, Colorado; brothers-in-law Gordon (Barbara) Sinner and Delane (Georgie) Sinner; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents.
