Marcia (Follis) Billeter, 58 years of age, of rural Loomis, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at her home northeast of Loomis following a courageous battle with cancer.  Marcia was born April 7, 1959 at Phillipsburg, Kansas, the younger of two daughters born to Norman and Bert (Sherling) Follis.  She received her education from Phillipsburg Public Schools, graduating from Phillipsburg High School with the class of 1977.  Marcia then began to pursue her love for cosmetology, moving to Grand Island, Nebraska, where she received her cosmetology license from Joseph College of Beauty.

Following her education, Marcia moved to Holdrege in 1982, where she purchased the Heritage House Salon, and continued to practice cosmetology until her passing.  Throughout the years, Marcia treasured the friendships formed with her co-workers, and clients.  She loved her job, and held a special place in her heart for her true friends.

On October 26, 1985, she was united in marriage to Mark A. Billeter at the Moses Hill Church, and to this union sons were born:  Cole and Chas.  With this union, Mark welcomed Marcia’s daughter, Logan into his life, and they became one family bonded together.

Marcia’s greatest love in her life was her family, and her love for all animals.  Many special memories were formed together as a family camping, and boating at Johnson’s Lake.  When the kids were young, she loved supporting them in 4-H, and school activities.

Besides her grandparents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Bill R. Billeter.

Marcia leaves to celebrate her life; her husband, Mark Billeter of rural Loomis; her three children:  Logan Edwards and her husband, Mike of Charlotte, North Carolina; Cole Billeter of Bertrand, Nebraska, and Chas Billeter and his special friend, Larissa Van Allen of Kearney, Nebraska; her parents:  Norman and Bert Follis of Phillipsburg; mother-in-law, Carol Billeter of Holdrege; sister, Menta Macy and her husband, Don of Owatonna, Minnesota: brother-in-law, Mike Billeter and his wife, Peggy of Holdrege; sister-in-law, Robyn Derickson of Bellevue, Nebraska; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
