Two local men who had reportedly driven to Denver to buy marijuana get busted by local NSP troopers following an early Saturday morning checkpoint.
Court documents say that 32-year-old Anthony Gonzales and 53-year-old Darryl Lockman approached a checkpoint on Highway 92 around 12:30 a.m. Saturday. When a trooper asked Gonzales if there was anything in illegal in the vehicle, he said yes.
A search of the vehicle led to the the discovery of three separate one ounce containers with marijuana inside of it, and Gonzales admitted they were his. In the glove box, troopers found a paper bag containing four half-ounce packages of marijuana, and Lockman admitted those were his.
Both were arrested on the charges of: Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Marijuana (More than one ounce, less than one pound).
