NPPD planned outage this morning

Nebraska Public Power District has a planned outage planned outage scheduled for Scottsbluff today from 8:30 AM MST to 10:00 AM that will impact approximately 40 people.

NPPD spokesman Mark Becker says wire that has been rubbing against a tree in the northeast part of Scottsbluff and it is now damaged. Becker says it was decided to replace the wire now as part of a planned outage instead of having the possibility that NPPD could have an unplanned outage in the future with a larger area of the city being affected.

Becker says they have made attempts to contact the residents that will be impacted to warn them about the outage.
