Western Nebraska Community College will hold three basketball camps in June for boys and girls in elementary school through high school.
The camps will be conducted by men’s basketball head coach Cory Fehringer and his coaching staff. Former Cougar and NBA player Bobby Jackson will assist with a few of the camps June 26-29.
The first camp is a Family Camp June 17 and 24 and costs $40. The camp June 17 camp is for fathers with their child from 8:30 a.m. – noon. The June 24 camp is for mothers and their child from 8:30 a.m. – noon.
The second set of camps, June 26 and 27, are open for both boys and girls. Grades 1st-4th will be held from 8:30 a.m. – noon, while grades 5th – 8th will have camp sessions from 1-4:30 p.m. The cost of the camp is $65 per camper.
The last set of camps will be held June 28 and 29 for high school-aged players. The high school girl’s camp will be held from 8:30 a.m. – noon on both days, while the boy’s camp will be held from 1-4:30 p.m. both days. Cost is $65 per camper.
The Cougar basketball camps are developmental camps for players for players of all levels and abilities. Campers are taught all aspects of the game with an emphasis on the fundamentals. Campers are taught new drills to help improve their overall skills while enjoying a fun, energetic, and positive camp environment.
