Zephyrs complete near perfect day with sweep of North Platte

They played two at Cleveland Field in Scottsbluff Saturday, but it added up only to one nine inning game.

After routing North Platte 15-0 in a four and one half inning opener the WESTCO Zephyrs didn't let up off the pedal. They dominated the Platters 11-1 in another four and one half inning game in the nitecap.

Andress Morales and Leighton Freeze combined on another two hitter. Eric Moreno pitched a five inning two hitter in the opener. In game two Morales worked the first three innings and Freese the final two.

Ty Dunkel paced the 12-hit Zephyr attack with three hits and two rbi. Beau Lofink also had three hits, while Dylan Busskohl and Freese added two hits and two rbi each.

The Zephyrs have won three in a row, moving their record to 3-1 on the season. They have a scheduled doubleheader at Cheyenne Wednesday. Those games are scheduled for KNEB-AM and kneb.com.
