Cougar soccer teams lose in Cheyenne

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – The Western Nebraska Community College men's and women's soccer teams suffered losses at Laramie County Community College on Friday in Cheyenne, Wyo.

The Cougar men fell 3-0 to the Golden Eagles while the women lost 6-0 to the fourth-ranked LCCC Golden Eagles.

The men's game saw LCCC grab a 2-0 lead before sticking a third goal in net in the second half. LCCC got goals from Jesse Molina, Wily Salamanca, and Dennis Vivar-Diaz.

In the women's contest, The Golden Eagles grabbed a 4-0 halftime lead and never looked back in holding the Cougars to just one shot in the game.

LCCC's Taylor Hockley had two goals in the contest, while Francesca Ali, Kaitlin Boothe, Sayit Mejia Bello, and Morgan Wrant each had one goal.

Both WNCC teams will be back in action today when they face Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs, Wyo.
