Cougar soccer teams blown away

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – The Western Nebraska Community College men's and women's soccer teams battled 50 mph winds Wednesday and they also found the scoring hard to come by in Region IX conference matches with Laramie County Community College.

The Cougar men lost to the Golden Eagles 3-0. The Cougar women fell to the No. 17 Golden Eagles 5-0 after trailing 1-0 at halftime.

WNCC had four prime opportunities to score in the second half of the mens game. The first came early in the half as Edwin Contreras just missed a shot high.
