Pilkington paces CSC golfers

GOODYEAR, Ariz. – Three Chadron State College golfers are in the top 25 and the Eagles shot a round of 353 to finish in sixth place during the opening day of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship in Goodyear, Ariz., Monday.

Today's final round begins at 6:30 a.m.

Western New Mexico leads the eight-team field with 313, while CSU-Pueblo is second with 317.

Emilee Pilkington leads the Eagles after shooting an 84 over the opening 18 holes Monday. She carded a 42 on both the front and back nine and is in 14th place.

Emma Harris shot an 87 and Karissa Moreland wasn't far behind with an 88. Harris is in 20th and Moreland is tied for 24th.

Also for Chadron State, Schuyler Wetzel shot 94 and Darcy Vernon carded 96.
