Zephyrs rally for win at Gillette

The WESTCO Zephyrs only scored in one of the nine innings played Tuesday night at Gillette, but a four-run seventh inning was enough to overcome a 3-0 deficit in a 4-3 win.

The come-from-behind win was the sixth in a row for Mark Moran's crew as they moved their record to 21-10 on the year.

Ty Benson was one of the heroes for the Zephyrs. He went 3-5 at the plate with one of the three rbi in the decisive seventh inning. He also was the third of four Zephyr pitchers on the night and picked-up the win, throwing four scoreless innings of four hit relief.

Also in the seventh inning Ty Wilson had an rbi double and Robbie Cantril added an rbi single.

Wilson picked up the save pitching the final two innings of shutout relief of Benson.

On Wednesday the Zephyrs will play one nine-inning game at Rapid City. Originally they were scheduled to play a doubleheader, but the first game opponent ended up with an out of town game.

The contest Wednesday is the KNEB Legion Game of the Week. You can hear it on KNEB-AM and kneb.com beginning at 6:15 p.m. with the Zone Pregame Show.
