FCA bringing Huskers to the area


The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will hold its Western Nebraska Husker Tour on February 15-16 in Scottsbluff and Chadron. This tour is used to further the vision of FCA which is "To see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches." FCA is excited to host the Husker Tour events in these cities.

This year's events will include new Husker running back stand out Imani Cross along with other Husker Football players talking about their faith in Jesus Christ as well as how they live it out on the field.

Husker Tour Details are as follows:

Friday, February 15 - Husker Tour 5th Quarter Party immediately following the Scottsbluff vs. Gering girls and boys basketball games at the Scottsbluff High School Gym. Tip-off for the girls is scheduled for 5:30pm with the boys to follow at 7:00pm.

Saturday, February 16 – Husker Tour Event at 10:00am in the Scottsbluff High School Cafeteria during the Lions Club Youth Basketball Tournament.

Saturday, February 16 - Husker Tour 5th Quarter Party immediately following the Chadron State vs. Colorado Mines women's and men's basketball games at Armstrong Gymnasium on the campus of Chadron State College. Tip-off for the women is scheduled for 6:00pm with the men to follow at 8:00pm

FCA is the largest Christian sports ministry in the world and focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ. For over 55 years, FCA has sought to impact the world through the influence of athletes and coaches.

Western Nebraska FCA Area Director Nate Lewis had this to say about the event: "We have hosted the Husker Tour in communities all over Western Nebraska for the past several years now and it has been amazing to see God use the platform these athletes have to help people understand the message of salvation found in Jesus Christ. We hope everyone in Scottsbluff and Chadron as well as the surrounding area are excited to take in this unique opportunity to hear from Imani and the other Huskers who will be speaking."

Feb 15 - Scottsbluff: During Halftime of the Scottsbluff vs Gering Boys Basketball game

Feb 16 - Scottsbluff: 9:30am at Scottsbluff High School

Feb 16 – Chadron: In between the Chadron State women's and men's Basketball games
