Day two of the State Swimming and Diving Championships underway

Day two the Nebraska State Swimming and Diving Championships are underway at the Bob Devaney Sports Center Pool in Lincoln. Girls preliminary action started the day.

In the first event of the day the Scottsbluff/Gering Seacats finished 18th out of 26 in the 200 Medley Relay. Junior Vanessa Woolsey, sophomores Erin Weatherman and McKayla Stark along with freshman Sarah Cloud comprised the team.

Sophomore Cierra Weatherfield competed in the 200 IM and in the 500 Freestyle but failed to advance to action Saturday.

Woolsey competed in the 100 Butterfly but did not qualify for the finals. Cloud did not advance in the 100 Breaststroke.

The Seacats also competed in the 400 Freestyle Relay but failed to advance. Stark, Woolsey, Cierra Weatherfield and Emily Yanke comprised that relay team.
