Hall of Fame to induct new class

Ogallala volleyball coach Steve Morgan will be inducted

LINCOLN – The 19th Nebraska High School Hall of Fame Foundation induction ceremony will be Sunday at the Lied Center in Lincoln.
Doors open at noon with the program beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for elementary and high school students.

This year's inductees are: Paul Amen, Eric Crouch, Fred Egley Jr., Jason Glock, Clester Johnson, Ginger (Keller) Marx, Kelly Lindsay, Dennis Loewe, Steve Morgan, Rich Olson, Edward "Scotty" Orcutt, Kevin Penner, Joe Salerno, Del Schoenfish, Joe Silverman, Dale Snook, Debbie (Spickelmier) Noble, Donna (Spickelmier) Vallin, LaVerne Torczon and Dave Van Metre.
The Hall of Fame is also honoring: the 1936 Grand Island football team and Doniphan-Trumbull golfer Danielle Lemek for Great Moments in high school sports; David City St. Mary's football (1953-1961) as a Dominant Dynasty; Atkinson West Holt basketball (1987-88) and Cambridge football (1987) as Silver Anniversary Teams; and North Platte football (1962) and Omaha Tech basketball (1963) as Golden Anniversary Teams.
Keefe Lodwig of Elkhorn will receive the Ron Gustafson Inspiration Award and the John and Connie Makovicka family of Ulysses will receive the Fischer Family Award.
