Holloway and Hadden compete in Norfolk
Two Scottsbluff High School seniors to be traveled to Norfolk Monday to compete in the Nebraska State Amateur Junior Tournament and both turned in decent days.
Andrew Holloway shot a 3-over par 75 to stand in a tie for 19th place in the 119 golfer field, and Michael Hadden shot a 7-over 79 to stand in a tie for 50th.
Mitchell Klooz of Plainview has the first round lead following a 5-under par 67. Mitchell Ryan of Omaha almost caught him with a 4-under par 68. He had three birdies on the back nine to break away from the pack, which included Holloway most of the day.
Holloway was consistent with one birdie and one bogey with four holes to play, Playing the front nine, he settled for an eight on the par 5 6th hole.
Hadden had one birdie and eight bogeys during his first round.
