Cats holding on to lead: Alliance climbs to fourth

The strength of the B6 track district is shining through at the State Track and Field Championships in Omaha.

District champ Scottsbluff is leading runner-up McCook by 12 points, 55-43, with three events to go. Alliance has climbed to a fourth place tie in the standings with 28 points, and Ogallala is sixth with 23 points.

The Cats are trying to repeat as state champs and it looks like it will go down to the wire. Matt Klein settled for one point in the 300 IM hurdles, finishing eighth in the finals. Alliance's Trevor Kamerzell got eight points for the Bulldogs by finishing second.
