Career best earns Clinton an award

CHADRON – Chadron State College's Glen Clinton is the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and Nebraska Division II Offensive Player of the Week following his stellar performance in the Eagles' 43-13 victory over Black Hills State.

Clinton, a senior from Cody, Wyo., rushed for a career-high 255 yards and three touchdowns in Saturday's game. He averaged 8.5 yards a carry and added three receptions for 47 yards.

In addition, the CSC rushing attack set a school record by gaining 495 yards on the ground.

The Nebraska D-II Defensive Player of the Week is Kellen Werner of the University of Nebraska-Kearney. Werner, a senior from Grand Island, Neb., had 14 tackles, including two for a loss and a forced fumble, in the Lopers' 24-14 win over Lincoln University.
