Wyoming player glad he stayed

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) _ Wyoming defensive end Miraldo Michel says he
seriously thought about leaving Laramie because he was upset for his lack of playing time and dealing with a lingering injury and some family struggles.

The 6-foot-3, 265-pound Fort Lauderdale, Fla., product played in one game last season.

But he stuck it out and was listed as a starter coming out of this year's spring practice sessions.

In last weekend's scrimmage, Michel recorded three tackles.

UW defensive line coach Matt Rahl tells the Wyoming Tribune Eagle
that Michel is an explosive athlete who can make big
plays.

He just needs to be more consistent.

Michel says he's glad he stayed at Wyoming and is looking forward to making a contribution his senior year.
