Valley Bank and Western State Bank, a branch of Valley Bank in Colorado, have joined in partnership with the Western Nebraska Community College Foundation to title sponsor the 2012 Fall Frolic September 22.

"We are excited to partner with Valley Bank and Trust and Western States Bank," said WNCC Foundation Director Dayle Wallien. "We know with their support we will achieve our 2012 goals."

The Fall Frolic includes a 5K Run/Walk, a 10K Run/Relay an a Kids' Fun Run with two age divisions. The event starts and finishes on the WNCC campus and is part of a week-long "Celebrate WNCC" homecoming celebration. Last year the Fall Frolic had nearly 300 participants and raised over $10,000.

Valley Bank and Trust Co. president and CEO John Stinner will start the race this year. "It has a dynamic and diverse group of participants, promotes a healthy lifestyle and is a fun event for the whole family," he said. "Creating partnerships with events that benefit local communities is an important part of our mission.

"Supporting Western Nebraska Community College and its Foundation, which together make quality higher education possible for thousands of students, is a great investment in our regional economy," Stinner added. "We are proud to be a part of it."
