First phase of Hall is open
LINCOLN -- The Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame Foundation has opened the first phase of its exhibit hall at 500 Charleston St., in Lincoln.
The Wall of Honorees features plaques for the Hall of Fame's silver and golden anniversary teams, Fischer Family Award winners, Gustafson Inspiration Award winners, Dominant Dynasties and Great Moments in High School Sports. It is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Nebraska School Activities Association office building.
Financial support from the NSAA, the Nebraska Coaches Association, the Nebraska State Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association helped make Phase 1 possible.
The Hall continues to work on Phase 2 of the project honoring individual athletes, coaches, officials and contributors who have excelled in Nebraska high school athletics.
