Bridgeport wins own golf invitational
Nine different teams competed, but only three team scores were kept as Bridgeport won its own invitational Thursday. The Bulldogs finished with a 369, 52 strokes better than second place Kimball. Creek Valley finished with a third place 459.
The Scottsbluff and Gering junior varsity teams, along with Mitchell were three of the other six schools that had players competing, but no team scores were kept for.
Jada Huck of Bridgeport was the meet medalist with an 81. That was eight strokes better than JaLee Pilkington of Bayard. Brook Hager of Kimball was third with a 93. Tara Harding of Bridgeport also had a 93 and settled for fourth. Rounding out the top five was Bridgeport's Kimberly Mueller with a 95.
Hannah Holloway paced Scottsbluff with an eighth place 101. Mitchell's Emily Snyder finished ninth with a 101 and Jasie Beam of Gering was 10th with a 103.
