Eagles play one of three scheduled games

CHADRON – Jennie Archambault led Adams State to a 4-0 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference softball win over Chadron State Friday afternoon.

Archambault hit two home runs and drove in four RBIs for the Grizzlies as they improved to (9-7, 8-3 RMAC).

The two teams were scheduled to play a triple header on Friday but wind and snow flurries canceled the final two games.

The second game started shortly after the opener but it was called in the top of the first inning.

Kelsey Sellars was a dominant pitcher for Grizzlies. She allowed three hits and struck out six Eagles.

Aryn Grywusiewicz pitched seven strong innings for the Eagles in the loss. She allowed six hits and two earned runs, while striking out three.

Amanda Einspahr, Rebecca Wetsch and Shea Graham had the three hits for the Eagles.

Of the Eagles' last 10 games, five of them have been canceled because of poor weather.

Chadron State (9-13, 7-8 RMAC) will play New Mexico Highlands and Black Hills State in a three-team pod Friday and Saturday in Las Vegas, N.M.
