Golf cart accident at National Finals Rodeo
ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) _ Two boys have been arrested and a girl injured after
a golf cart they were riding in crashed into a parked pickup truck at the
National High School Finals Rodeo in Rock Springs.
Sweetwater County Sheriff Rich Haskell says the incident occurred about 2 a.m.
Thursday and resulted in a 16-year-old girl suffering a broken leg.
Haskell says the girl was a passenger in the golf cart driven by a 17-year-old
boy. Haskell says the girl was taken to Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County
where she was in excellent condition.
The driver was arrested and charged with DUI and reckless driving. Another
17-year-old boy in the golf cart also was arrested and charged with minor in
possession of alcohol.
Those involved were not identified because they are juveniles.
