18-year-old Scottsbluff woman killed in Wyoming rollover

An 18-year-old Scottsbluff woman has died from injuries sustained during a Monday afternoon rollover near Huntley, Wyoming.

The Goshen County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single vehicle rollover on County Road 50 shortly before 1:30 p.m.

The accident report says 18-year-old Sydney Ancira was driving westbound on the county road and started to drift towards the left. Ancira steered right, then over-corrected to the left, causing the vehicle to slide.

Ancira’s Pontiac exited the south edge of the roadway and rolled two-and-a-half times, and came to rest on its roof.

A seat belt was not in use, and high speeds and driver inattention are being investigated as contributing as factors in this crash.

A passenger in the vehicle was also reportedly injured, and a message has been left with the Goshen County Sheriff’s Department for more information.
