Committee Reviewing Scotts Bluff Co. Keno Business Transfer Request

December 31st, 2020 | Scott Miller

A committee of Scotts Bluff County Officials will be reviewing the request for approval of transferring ownership of Lucky Keno gaming operations to Small Computer Solutions, which is owned and operated by Ryan Keller.

At their last meeting of 2020, the County Board approved creating the panel, with Chairman Ken Meyer noting interviews and extensive vetting took place more than 10 years ago before Andy Clarkson and his family took over operation of the countys Keno games.

Meyer told Keller it was the appropriate way to handle such a significant change. “I think some of the Board has some questions they would like to visit with you about, business concerns and whatever, what your ideas is moving forward, “said Meyer. “This is a big thing. It isnt just here it is, take it and go with it.”

Commissioners Mark Reichert and Charlie Knapper, County Attorney Dave Eubanks, Sheriff Mark Overman and Management Accountant Lisa Rien are overseeing the process.

The board will not meet again until Jan. 11th, which would give the committee time for interviews and other work before the issue could appear again for any formal action.
