A rollover involving an SUV pulling a trailer loaded with gravel closed an arterial road on the east side of Scottsbluff midday Tuesday, but fortunately there were no injuries.
The accident occurred on the South Beltline Highway near the city’s wastewater plant when the right side tire on the trailer went flat.
The tire failure caused the two-wheeled trailer to slide sideways into the soft shoulder and roll… which pulled the SUV over onto the passenger side, completely blocking the road.
The couple from Morrill County was not injured in the accident, which happened around noon.
Cleanup of the wreckage and the gravel all over the roadway took more than an hour, with the roadway closed between Highway 26 and Sugar Factory road.
