Wednesday ceremony inaugurates Pioneer Hall renovations at WNCC

A ribbon cutting ceremony inaugurating a significant addition and renovation to Western Nebraska Community College’s Pioneer Hall and Activity Center was held Wednesday afternoon.

Construction work began in the summer of 2014 to bring about a new era of activity and living for WNCC students.

Pioneer Hall offers affordable on-campus living. The tower features renovated rooms and community bathrooms and lounges on each of the three floors. The new addition offers double-room suites with a shared bath, as well as a lounge on each floor with views of Scotts Bluff National Monument.

Pioneer Activity Center is the cornerstone of Pioneer Hall and offers a number of amenities as well as recreational space.

The Scottsbluff/Gering Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, members of the Western Community College Area Board of Governors, WNCC staff and faculty, and community friends and partners were in attendance Wednesday.

Tours were also being conducted after Wednesday’s ceremony.
